What are Chaffles?
Chaffles are cheese and egg mixture cooked into a waffle. It has become popular among followers of the Ketogenic diet as a substitute for bread. In this post, I will show you how to make 2 variations of the recipe, the traditional Chaffle as a waffle and as a Chaffle flatbread.

How to make Chaffles?
Chaffles are super simple to make. Much easier than bread. I have a blog post that will walk you through the process step-by-step. In that post, I also talk about mixing up the flavours. Go check it out here, and then come back here to here to read up on 3 ways to consume your delicious Chaffles.
The Chaffle Sandwich

I like to toast my Chaffles in they have been in the fridge. After toasting, top with your favourite sandwich dressing (i.e. mayonnaise or mustard), layer on your favourite cold cuts, vegetables, greens, and cheeses.

Chaffle Avocado Toast
Toast the Chaffle, add sliced or mashed avocados, and sprinkle with Everything but the Bagel topping. I make a big batch and store it in a shaker bottle. See below for a bonus recipe:

Everything but the Bagel Topping Recipe
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
- 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons pink Himalayan salt or coarse salt
- Add all the above ingredients to a shaker bottle, secure lid, and shake to mix.
- Don’t want to make it yourself, you can purchase it here.

Fried Egg on a Chaffle
Toast the Chaffle, and place a fried egg cooked to your liking on top. I like my fried eggs to be soft and runny but like the white cooked. You can add sliced or mashed avocados, cold cuts, bacon, or cheese.
