I live in Ontario, Canada and we just entered stage 1 of the re-opening stage after a grueling long third wave. Toronto, since Boxing Day, has mostly been under a stay-at-home order with only essential businesses allowed to open with a long list of restrictions. The loosening of some restrictions, the opening of more businesses to in-person shopping/services and the increase in vaccination rates are all welcomed news and worth celebrating. Fingers crossed, we will be able to celebrate Father’s Day in person.
The pandemic has taken its toll on many both physically and mentally, so I think it’s important that we make this Father’s Day special for the hard-working and supportive Dads (and Father figures) in our life! Here are some ideas on what you can do for your Dad or Father figure.

Plan a Father’s Day Porch or Park Visit
Weather and local health rules permitting, plan a porch visit or meet up at a local park. Zoom calls are great and have been a lifeline during the many lockdowns over the last year, however, it’s always nice to be able to visit in person (even if behind masks).
Have little kiddos – Grandparents love watching them run around and play!
Father’s Day Breakfast in Bed
If you live with your Dad or your husband/partner is a Dad, give him the gift of sleeping in and serve him breakfast in bed.

I have several great recipes on the blog that are good options for a breakfast in bed meal. If your guy has a sweet tooth, try Sourdough pancake or waffle recipe. If eggs and meat are more his taste, check out this section dedicated to Eggs.
Accessorize His Favourite Tech
For the Dad who loves tech – and has all the tech already – give him accessories that compliment the tech and his style. Some options are new wireless headphones to replace wired ones, new watch bands for his smartwatch, or a new phone case for his smart mobile. I’ve included some of my favourite picks below.
- Mpow wireless earbuds
- Fitbit Versa 3 black metal watch band or Apple Watch black metal watch band
- Masculin looking phone case Pixel 3XL
- Masculin looking phone case Apple iPhone 11
Accessorize the Home Office
If your Dad is in the workforce and working from home (like so many of us have been), get him something useful for his office area. I’ve linked some great options below:

- Video conference ring light
- 4 in 1 wireless charger compatible with Apple products
- Wireless charger compatible with Android products
- Headphone stand with a wireless charger
- Wireless charger desk lamp
- Desk pad
- Desk chair floor protector
- Portable desk caddy
Garden Cleanup
This is a great gift for older parents who have a garden but who aren’t able to take care of it anymore. If they don’t already have an outdoor sitting area – treat them to one. This and a cleaned-up yard will make porch & backyard visits more enjoyable and comfortable over the summer.

Final Thoughts
I wanted this post to focus more on relatable content or options. There is a tone of additional options depending on your Dad’s unique taste and interests. For instance, getting new golf balls and paying for a round of golf for the “Golf” dad or buying an Air Fryer for the Dad Chef.
Let us know in the comments of what you are getting your Dad for Father’s Day.
