Welcome to my kitchen. This is the hub of our home. My husband and I are big foodies and spend a lot of time in our kitchen cooking up our favourites and trying out new recipes. Today I’m going to walk you through our ultimate Kitchen Gift Guide of all the gadgets and must-haves that we have added to our collection over the years that are our absolute favourites.

Gifts for the love of coffee!
When we were still planning our kitchen renovation, we penned a list of must-haves and at the top of the list was a dedicated coffee bar! I’m still waiting for a shelf to be installed (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) but other than that this is one of my favourite parts of the kitchen.
We recently replaced our 10-year-old coffee maker with the Ninja® DualBrew Pro Grounds & Pods Specialty Coffee System. This coffee maker does it all from brewing up to 12 cups of delicious hot coffee, cold coffee setting and also has an adaptor for k-cups for when you only need a single cup. It also brews tea (through a separate water line so your tea won’t have a coffee taste), and has a fold-away frother. It really does it all!

We also have a separate espresso machine by De’Longhi, which we have had for 5 years. We use this when we want an American or a shot of espresso. It has a built-in steamer which is nice as it heats the milk as it froths.
Our go-to coffee at the moment is Starbucks Cafe Verona, we use this blend in both the drip and espresso machines. This works because we buy the whole beans and grind fresh according to the drip.
We use a Burr Grinder by Cuisinart. We’ve had this one for over 10 years and it is still working fine.
Monogram coffee mugs! Indigo is my favourite place to get monogramed coffee mugs. They have a variety of styles and sizes and are reasonably priced.
Gifts for the Serious Cook!
We only use cast iron or Heritage Rock pans. The Heritage pans are great because they are so lightweight and are non-stick. We will have these pans forever so didn’t mind splurging on them.
Always look for pans where the handle is also cast iron or another oven-safe material so that you can place the whole pan in the oven. We have a similar cast iron set to this one and love that the smaller pan can be used as a lid to the larger one or used as a pan on its own.
If I were to ever need another set of cast iron pans I would get a set that is enabled like this one.
We have a Heritage Rock small pan which is great for frying up eggs and a large wok which is great for stir fry or when you need a large pan with high sides.
Small Appliance Gift Guide
I am all about material items that do double duty. I already described all the wonderful things my coffee maker does, so it will be no surprise that I also own and love an InstantPot. This one appliance is a rice cooker, a slow cooker, it sautees, and a pressure cooker. We have the 6-quart size from Canadian Tire.
This year we also added a KitchenAid Air Fryer/Toaster oven combo to our kitchen from Canadian Tire. Sometimes with combo appliances, they don’t always work the best at both the things it does, but after using this one for a few months, it is great at all the features. It is an oven, keep warn, toaster (has a bagel setting), and an air fryer.
Small Gadgets
Anything that keeps things off the counters is a win in my books! I love our metallic knife holder. We got our from Ikea, but I’ve linked a similar one here.

Silicon cooking utensil set. A must in the kitchen to keep your pans from getting scratched! I love how many colours there are to choose from.
Good tea towels and bar rags. I have switched out all our tea towels and bar rags to microfiber towels from the brand MakersClean. These are of great quality and still, look brand new after using them for several months. They definitely work better than the cheaper microfiber towels out there.
2 Tier Fruit Stand is the perfect functional practical gift that you can fill with delicious chocolates, coffee and fruit and give as a gift.

Bring out the Wine!
Stemless wine glasses look cool and are different. These are the ones we have. We actually don’t have any wine glasses with stems, so this is something on my wish list this Christmas (wink, wink, nudge, nudge to my hubby). In my opinion, Ikea is the place to go for functional and affordable wine glasses. These look cool and fit my style. Paired with a nice bottle of wine and you have a great gift!
